When walking the path through the University campus, you only need to walk one path which starts in front of Þjóðarbókhlaðan.The first building you pass, is the main building which was designed by the architecture Gudjon Samuelsson, who also designed the Hallgrimskirkja.
The new glass building is on the left side of the main building and contains the University bookstore, a cantine, information and auditoriums.
The university offers a variety of free lectures, both in Icelandic and in English. For further information, please go to www.hi.is under Events.
How to get there
By foot: From Lækjartorg, walk straight on Lækjargata towards Tjörnin, the lake. Walk on the right side of Tjörnin on Tjarnargata. Walk straight until you will reach Hringbraut. You pass the Þjóðminjasafn which is on your right side. For a map, go to www.hi.is
